WHY

MapleFish

MapleFish Web Design is focused on one thing: providing business owners with the tools to manage 100% of their online business from their own domain, including the ability to acquire and manage a client base. Our websites help clients do business online with minimal added expense.

We value your trust in us because we also value our reputation for doing good work. We’re human beings helping other human beings be successful at something they’re good at (because we’re good at building the infrastructure you need to do your job). It’s like we’re made for each other. We’re completely invested in your success.

WHY

WordPress

WordPress is the predominant platform for self-hosted websites. It’s been the only website platform used by MFW because we know the ins and outs like the back of our hand and have developed systems for building your perfect business scenario, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, ecommerce, directory sites, and everything in between.

We even offer consultative sessions that explain best use case applications to help visualize how your business goals will benefit from a MapleFish website build. Enjoy the same professional online presence for your business as many Fortune 500 companies.

WHat

our projects entail

In the spirit of transparency, we want you to know that building a website isn’t necessarily complicated but it is time-consuming. This is a very rough outline of the major steps involved.

  1. Initial consultation to identify the business vision, plan, and total cost of the project. Work doesn’t commence until both parties have a clear understanding of each other’s expectations, a contract is signed, and an initial payment is made.
  1. All websites use a CDN
  1. All websites comply with Bill C-18
  1. All websites meet Google’s core web vitals
  1. All plugins are optimized for functionality and compatibility
  1. Content is search-optimized (voice, schema, local), including images and fonts
  1. All builds are hosted on a cloud-based hosting platform (no email account) + domain-wide Amazon SES transactional email account + regular SMTP account
  1. Content (including images) is provided by client and tweaked by us for SEO
  1. Optional content creation (includes sourcing & optimizing images)
  1. Optional landing page(s) plus optin incentive(s)
  1. Optional ecommerce setup
  1. Optional monetization (affiliate links, ads)
  1. Optional marketing funnel(s) plus email campaign(s) and associated automations
  1. Optional social integration
  1. Unless otherwise agreed upon, MFW websites are built on a cloud-based managed hosting platform (not proprietary). If you choose to move your site to a shared hosting platform after the build, there’s an additional step of migrating the finished site.

The Fine Print

We don’t automatically accept all projects. Nor do we accept projects beyond the scope of our expertise. If we can’t help you, we’ll tell you. We won’t take on a project that we’re not comfortable with.

Every project requires a contract. No exceptions. It’s written in laymen’s jargon and outlines the total cost of your project. To avoid “scope creep,” we follow the terms of the contract to the end of the build. Any changes beyond initially agreed upon iterations result in additional charges. This is why Step-1 is critical.

Re: Website Makeovers: We will do our darndest to keep any historical analytical data as well as redirect links to new content.

Re: Website Ownership: Our contracts state that you have sole ownership of your website and all content upon completed payment.

CRM for small business

It’s one thing to build an online presence, drive traffic to it, and conduct business in a virtual silo. It’s quite another to collect 1st-party data, associate it with specific assets or tasks, and generally manage it to your liking, 24×7. Hands-free. With 100% ownership and control.

You can cut expenses by hosting your own website. You can provide more and better services without fulfillment or delivery restrictions.  You can create content and woo traffic to your heart’s content, but you CAN’T build a business without engaging people.

how

CRMs personalize the journey

Consumers and tire-kickers want to be acknowledged, and courted. And yes, won with wonderful incentives.

Adding a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to your existing business model adds a personal dimension that traditional models can’t touch. Sure, you can automate processes, and incentives, and even vet for specific behaviours, but automation can be highly impersonal.

The advantage of a CRM keeps consumers front-of-mind with voluntarily submitted 1st-party data and generally removes the anonymity of online transactions with personal engagement – the very thing that helps small businesses deliver better customer experiences, increase consumer satisfaction, and drive growth.

A CRM saves time and creates opportunities that are otherwise unavailable to your business. And most importantly, allow you to collect and control your own first-party data.

About 30

A CRM creates opportunities that are otherwise unavailable to your business. And it originates from having the ability to collect and control 1st-party data.
